  Yes, the Denny Ryder series of novellas is a horror story with paranormal twists based on factual research. In fact, the first novella, STROKE OF FEAR!, was a catharsis short story I wrote many years ago to help me deal with my own prophetic dreams. I re-wrote it just last year, extending it into a novella. The first 2/3 of that eBook is a true experience that happened to me. The ending is fictional. There really are things that go bump in the night!
