Women of the world unite!
It’s in the planes and creases of our faces
The earth is filled with darkness and light
There are so many cultures and places
We all have our joys and worries
In love, we feel and heal with zeal
Slow down, savor life, don’t hurry.
Be blessed and real!
Deborah A. Bowman
Cheers to the sisterhood of women. 🙂

Cheers, Marje. We are the hands and smiles and hugs that hold the family, community, and world together as one.

Realistic Poetry has a challenge everyday on Twitter from a picture. I write something. I love seeing if my perceptions are anywhere near other poets. It’s a fun thing. But this one, which was of a young woman’s face with the globe superimposed upon it … I couldn’t let it go like the others. This one meant something to me so I found the picture of the older woman, her story etched on her face. Yes, everyday women do what we do.

A beautiful piece, Deborah. “Savor life” I love that. So much meaning in two words. Cheers! 🙂

Don’t you just love the “pregnant” words of poetry? I had a college professor refer to poetry that way and I’ve never forgotten it. Kind of like a ” pregnant pause”. Lol 😳
