Easter…

A time of reflection and renewal

An adamant and firm refusal

To let sadness rule my day

As I look to God, I will find a way

To be happy and release the grief

To find blessed love and relief

God who gave his only son

Grieved on a Friday, withheld the sun

The rain His tears upon the earth

On Sunday morn, risen in new birth

His Son ascended to be with His Father

We were given eternal life and forgiveness

So there is no more grief and sadness

All souls dwell in the glory of the Lord

I rejoice in this Easter morn…

The JOHN HANCOCK is signed

We can easily find

The names quilled in ink

But does it make you think?

Our country needs everyone

To take a deep breath, exhale

And set out on a new trail

Listen to the wind blowing through parched minds

As it clears away the boundaries and lines

We are all citizens of the United States of America

We are all one, whole, connected, searching for Utopia

There may not be Utopia, but there isn’t Dystopia

We can rearrange; we can change or stay the same

It’s all up to you

To do what you believe to be true

Every heart, every soul, every red-blooded American girl or boy

Reach out your hand; take a stand; embrace each other with love and joy

I am alone this 4th of July

But if I cry

They will be tears of redemption

That will fill my emptiness

United We Stand

Strike Up the Band!

New Year’s Eve Message

earth

2016 was a year of firsts and lasts. Hello to new events and occurrences, not all of them good; goodbye to many familiar faces and loved ones. Heaven has many shining lights that once graced this earth. Topsy-turzy news and weather kept us in a state of imbalance, which can produce a giggle at times or plummet our spirits. We take the sad and the glad, the strong and the wrong, and the glow with the show … all in stride, anticipating the ride. I believe we all long for a little peace and subdued quiet in 2017. The erratic and didactic have become a little cumbersome.
Yet, blessings came to us as well in this 16th year of a century …
To strengthen our faith and sustain our venturing ….
For all those joys of spirit and laughter …
I thank our Lord, Who lovingly gives us all the Hereafter.

This is my 8th eBook, but my first nonfiction collection of topics that are near and dear to me. It’s bowmanauthor being bowmanauthor. For those of you who follow my blog, you already know that means anything can pop up in verse, essays, advice, spiritualism, short stories, and creative visualization. The title is based on a song I wrote and set to music, a 7th Century Druidic Bard’s melody. I play it on my Celtic Harp or piano.

The eBook is available on amazon.com with the the link above. The perfect Holiday gift for that person you just don’t know what to give. I’m hoping for hardcover and softcover copies being available for the Holiday season as well. We’ll see. I’m getting a proof in about two weeks.

For those blog followers who have been following my progress and helping me select a cover for “Annie’s Story: Blessed With A Gift”, based on a past-life regression, that project is ongoing. It should be released in Spring 2016. Annie is being a little scamp and giving this author a run-for-her-money in writing her story from the mid-1600s.

HAVE A WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
