Sometimes it seems the world has let us down…
We hear the nightly news and cry or frown…
Who has died today? Who has lied? Who has hurt another?
Isn’t there something else we can do, something other
Than tears and fears, fright and fight?
Look to the beauty of the heavens above
That have no boundaries to calm your mind…
There is still peace and love in our lives…
This is what we must strive to release…
Pray for Peace…
True to form, I’m learning social media as I use it. So Tumblr is new for me, but it’s interesting. Please, go take a quick peek at my new site. It’s called “Really Very Miracle”.
We all are unique, beautiful, and outstanding individuals. We need to use our love and intuition to connect, discuss, and aid our societies. Each tormented soul or mind must be touched by love and healed. There is plenty of love to go around if we but search within ourselves to seek the quiet pleas of haunted eyes, crying out for help.
You will be astounded by the glory and miracles we possess that are never released and allowed to grow. Find your inner peace and we can change the world….one silenced, fearful being at a time. It is so worth the effort to watch someone blossom before your very eyes …It is “Really Very Miracle” to touch another soul’s heart when you act as a vessel of The Creator who gave you life. Life is for abundance, joy, and love. Let’s pass it around and share the manifestation of heaven on earth.
To give of your feelings
And thus revealing
The truths of your soul
That make you whole
To pledge your story as it unfolds
The manifestation of the roles
The thoughts you have pondered
As you have wandered
Through paradise, utopia
Do not dread
What doomsayers have said
To creep into your bliss
Ending with a kiss
Come, stay awhile
In the warmth of my smile
Link your self and soul with mine
And ease the heart and mind
Of both of us in trust.
By Deborah A. Bowman, Peering out the window at rays of sun and silence…
Creature of the night
Caught in flight
Hunting among redwood trees
No one knows what those eyes see
In the faint moonlight in the breeze
Long, sharp talons extended
Reaching for small prey, life-ending
The balance of the hunted and Hunter
All must live and die in shrieks of thunder
Large flapping wings overhead
Filling small hearts with fear and dread
Nestled under the earth or scattered leaves
The tiny family grieves
As the owl takes to the skies
In the dark of night, eyes that hypnotize
In the glow of the moon, caught in flight
The owl with his nocturnal sight
(Painting and poem by Deborah A. Bowman)
How does time get away from us?
We try to do so much … too much!
In our crazy active lives, tasks go quick
But there are more things to make us tick.
We don’t want to be left behind
When new technology fills the mind.
The rapid influx of innovation
Calls to us in demanding recreation.
We want to try everything…
So time gets gobbled up
Like a feast that we sup
And we look back and lament
That time is no longer urgent.
We forget what we must do first
Overcome by hunger and thirst
For news and info and games and fame.
Slow down a little, enjoy silence.
Let peace and calm be your dance.
